Every volunteer is allocated an MRT station to collect their tins. You should look for more information from the volunteer lead of your organisation or MDAS.

We encourage Corporate Volunteers to dress up in Corporate T-shirt. Otherwise, T-shirt, jeans/pants and covered shoes.

Always look for your station supervisor for help or call 9828 7894 for support if you need any. MDAS staff would be able to advise you better.

We apologise that we are not able to provide meals for volunteers. You can choose to take a break anytime. During your break time, volunteers are responsible to take care of their own donation tins. We have allocated water for volunteers in each station. Please look for your station supervisor to receive the bottled water.

In the event of missing donation tins, individuals should inform/submit a declaration to MDAS. A Police Report will be needed only if collection tins are stolen 

Please encourage donors who want to receive a tax deduction to donate through the QR code that leads to Give.asia portal. Full NRIC is required to get tax deductions and can be done via online.

Yes. Do note that children below 16 years of age need to be accompanied by a legal adult. Do also indicate the number of family members that will join you as we need to make sure that the stations have enough tins to give out.

1. Upon handing-over at the collection centres, all collection tins shall be examined by authorised personnel to ensure that they are intact. These authorised personnel shall ensure that the contents in the tins/bags do not spill out en-route to the counting centres. 
2. Swopping and returning of Flag Bags on another day, or returning on behalf of someone else is strictly not allowed. 
3. As each Flag Day Tin is tagged with your personal particulars, you will have to return your Flag Day Tin in person at the reporting venue on the same day by:- 

AM Shift: 1.30pm
PM & Full Shift: 5.00pm 

The collectors shall not receive any money collected except by allowing the donor to place the money in the collection tins. 

Yes, there will be a briefing for volunteers before the event. You will be contacted for the date/time of the briefing to better understand MDAS and further details of the street collection.

All street collection volunteers must be 16 years old and above. 
Volunteers 15 years old and under should be accompanied by an adult or a volunteer that meets the age requirement. They should not be carrying the Flag Day tin nor engage in direct solicitation of donations. 

a) Volunteers can seek to collect donations islandwide. However, we advise volunteers to keep a distance from the exit points of all MRT stations and escalators to avoid unnecessary accidents. 

b) Please also note that volunteers are not allowed to collect donations within the following locations: 

• Unapproved Mass Rapid Transit (MRT)  

• Unapproved Buses / Bus interchange 

• Airport/Woodlands & Tuas Checkpoint 

• Unapproved Shopping Malls 

• Hospitals 

• Places of Worship 

• Hotels 

For any cancellation, please notify us via email at least 14 days before the event date, in order to allow other volunteers to fill up the slots. 
 
Should you feel unwell, we highly recommend you get ample rest & avoid participation. Kindly notify us on your absence as well.
