MDAS is back with our Go The Dystance 2023! The event, which coincides with World Duchenne Awareness Day and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Awareness Month, aims to raise awareness of the condition and celebrate the lives of people who fight to live above Muscular Dystrophy.

Our family-friendly carnival will be held at One Punggol on 2 September 2023! Our Guest of Honour, Senior Minister of State of Communications & Information, Dr Janil Puthucheary will join us to build inclusive and meaningful connections with the community.

MDAS is committed to uplifting the lives of children and adults living with MD. As a dedicated group, we understand the challenges they face, and as such, our programmes and services are aimed at enhancing the quality of life for these families. These range from life-skills training and health education to physiotherapy, respite care and financial-related assistance. Our support ensures that every life journey of a person with MD is cared for holistically.

Your generous donation* will go towards supporting MDAS’s operating expenditure in providing programmes, services, and all supporting costs for over 500 beneficiaries and sustaining its operating activities.

MDAS Needs Your Love

Muscular Dystrophy is never fair. It is a group of diseases that cause progressive weakness and breakdown of skeletal muscles over time due to genetic mutations. Currently, there is no cure.

With rising costs and today’s unstable economy, MDAS, short for Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore), must rely heavily on the generosity of donors like yourselves. Only through your sustained giving, are we able to continue to play a significant role in giving those with Muscular Dystrophy the best years of their lives.

This year, our target goal for Go The Dystance 2023 is to raise $100,000. Funds from this event will be used towards running essential programmes and services to improve the quality of life for our beneficiaries. Every dollar counts and your kind support will enable us to sustain our operating expenditures in providing programmes, services, and all supporting costs.
