Stories from the Heart 2023

Do you have the freedom to eat what you want, walk where you want to, laugh your heart out or even breathe on your own? Each day, these freedoms are slowly taken away from children and adults with Muscular Dystrophy (MD), a disease that weakens muscle strength and limits mobility.

Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore), MDAS, would like to seek your support to join us for MDAS Charity Luncheon 2023 – ‘Stories from the Heart’, to raise funds for persons with Muscular Dystrophy (MD). With celebrity host, Gurmit Singh, we promise you an immersive and memorable dining experience, leaving you with more knowledge on Muscular Dystrophy and broadening your perspective on how all of us can build a more inclusive society.

Details of the event* are as follows:
Date: Saturday, 18 November 2023
Time: 12PM to 3PM (Cocktail from 11AM)
Venue: Amara Singapore, Ballroom 1 & 2, Level 3
Dress Code: Smart Casual

*Donate $350 for a seat.
$3,500 for Pearl Table [10 seats]
$6,000 for Diamond Table [10 seats]

MDAS is committed to uplifting the lives of children and adults living with MD. As a dedicated group, we understand the challenges they face, and as such, our programmes and services are aimed at enhancing the quality of life for these families. These range from life-skills training and health education to physiotherapy, respite care and financial-related assistance. Our support ensures that every life journey of a person with MD is cared for holistically. Your generous donation** will go towards supporting MDAS’s operating expenditure in providing programmes, services, all supporting costs for over 500 beneficiaries and sustain its operating activities.

Phoebe (MD since 2 months old) – ‘My wish is that someday, I will be able to use my power wheelchair to board a plane and be seated in it for the entire journey.’

Saifudeen (MD since 4 yrs old) – ‘I wish I could go anywhere in Singapore without worrying about the transport cost.’

Anthony (MD since 5 yrs old) – ‘I wish I would be able to sit nearer to the front to watch a movie in a cinema.’

Please join us in celebrating the strengths within each of our members and their caregivers as we bring you on an unforgettable journey. Together, we can change their lives and give them a reason to smile.
