After having several online flag days, we are so excited to announce that we will be having our street collection on 6 May 2023, from 9am – 5pm. It will be at the following locations:
– Bishan MRT
– Paya Lebar MRT
– Jurong East MRT

– Sengkang Bus Interchange

In addition, we would like to appeal to your generosity during this period from 1 April to 30 June in MDAS Flag Day fundraising efforts. It is only through the kind donations of our donors that we are able to carry out our mission of inspiring hope and enriching the lives of people with muscular dystrophy and their families.

MDAS is committed to uplifting the lives of children and adults living with MD. As a dedicated group, we understand the challenges they face, and as such, our programmes and services are aimed at enhancing the quality of life for these families. These range from life-skills training and health education to physiotherapy, respite care and financial-related assistance. Our support ensures that every life journey of a person with MD is cared for holistically.

*Donations $50 and above are eligible for a 250% tax exemption upon request.

Your generous donation* will go towards supporting MDAS’s operating expenditure in providing programmes, services, all supporting costs for over 500 beneficiaries and sustaining its operating activities. Tote Board and the Government will also contribute dollar-for-dollar matching for every donation for this event!

Appeal for Donation – MDAS Flag Day 2023

The Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore), MDAS, is a non-profit social service agency which supports persons with Muscular Dystrophy (MD) and their families. MD causes progressive weakening of muscles that become life-threatening when functions of major organs like the heart and lungs deteriorate over time. Our mission is to maximise the quality of life of people with Muscular Dystrophy and their families, to integrate them into society and support research towards a cure. Yearly, the association needs around $1.2 mil to provide vital services like counselling, therapy, respite care and transport to our beneficiaries.

MDAS would like to appeal for your generosity in support of MDAS Flag Day 2023. The campaign period will be from 1 April 2023 to 30 June 2023, with the street collection on 6 May 2023. We aim to raise $130,000 to fund essential programmes and services which inspire hope and enrich the lives of over 500 beneficiaries whom we serve.

One of the many services that MDAS provides is transportation for members to attend our programmes and activities. Transport cost using specialised vehicles is daunting. Despite this, we believe that this is an essential expense to encourage our beneficiaries to have access to programmes which will empower them with the skills and mentality to live a more fruitful and meaningful life.
