As part of our Stories from the Heart 2022 campaign this year, MDAS will be hosting a charity dinner. Have a seat at the table with us and our members to gain a deeper understanding of the journey our members with muscular dystrophy and their caregivers face.

Stories from the Heart Charity Dinner 2022

Dress code: Smart Casual

MDAS is committed to uplifting the lives of children and adults living with MD. As a dedicated group, we understand the challenges they face, and as such, our programmes and services are aimed at enhancing the quality of life for these families. These range from life-skills training and health education to physiotherapy, respite care and financial-related assistance. Our support ensures that every life journey of a person with MD is cared for holistically. Your generous donation* will go towards supporting MDAS’s operating expenditure in providing programmes, services, all supporting costs for over 500 beneficiaries and sustain its operating activities.

MDAS Stories from the Heart Charity Dinner 2022

Timothy was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy at the age of 5. Growing up as a teen was difficult as he was different from most teenagers. Defying all odds, he was accepted into NTU to study Art, Design and Media. After graduation, Timothy joined MDAS as a member and now promotes awareness of muscular dystrophy to educate people know more about the condition. As a bridge member, Timothy also plays power soccer on a motorised wheelchair and has fun with his friends. Through programmes and services, MDAS aims to empower members with opportunities and the courage to dream to accomplish the impossible.

“MDAS has helped to build up my confidence in interacting with others and in my ability to use my skills to do meaningful work. I’ve made a lot of good friends and achieved many things which I didn’t think was possible. I now have a purpose and motivation in my life.”

We seek your consideration to be a valued sponsor and/or donor for our Charity Dinner. During the dinner, each of our MDAS Ambassadors will be hosting at your table to share their personal stories of living with muscular dystrophy or as a caregiver.
