In 2003, MDAS published the handbook that underscores the commitment of the Association to raise awareness about Muscular Dystrophy. This handbook entitled “Living with Muscular Dystrophy – Meeting the Challenges” aims to provide information and management strategies in coping with Muscular Dystrophy (MD) together with personal life stories shared by members with MD and their parents.
It is a handbook for all medical, healthcare and social service professionals, people with MD and their caregivers. This 80-page handbook is available in 3 languages and copies are available free of charge, courtesy of the Ministry of Community Development & Sports, Lee Foundation, Tay Leck Teck Foundation and South West Community Development Council.
