MDAS is a self-help organisation. It aims to provide support and care for people with Muscular
Dystrophy and their families. We need to raise funds to support our programmes and activities to help them to
enhance their quality of life.
You can make a difference by making a donation in supporting our services. You may also pledge to make monthly
donation. For tax-exempt purpose, individuals are required to provide the NRIC number. Your contribution will
help us go a long way.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES (Partners in Community Service)
MDAS believes in partnering with individuals and corporations to enable people with Muscular
Dystrophy and their families to integrate into society.
Besides making a difference in the lives of people with Muscular Dystrophy, volunteers could also gain
meaningful experiences by working with us.
How you can help? MDAS needs volunteers in the following area:-
- Activities/Programmes
- Social/Educational Outings : involve in planning or executing the activities
- Educational Programmes : to conduct learning programmes for various age groups, eg. art workshops, reading & writing classes
- Sports : assist in sports programmes eg. swimming, Boccia
- Vocational Training : explore skills training opportunities
- Befriender : to befriend the people with Muscular Dystrophy
- Public Awareness
- To help us create awareness on Muscular Dystrophy
- To collaborate / participate in public awareness campaigns
- Fund-Raising
- To support our fund-raising efforts
- To organise fund-raising events for us
- Types of Volunteers for Specific Needs

- Write Articles/Feature our activities
- Transport/Logistic Support
- Instructors (eg. Language, Music, Art)
